Introduction of the Course

Every Years millions of people require blood transfusion. Blood transfusion remains lifesaving and requires frequently. Safe blood products, used correctly, can be life-saving. However, even where quality standards are very high, transfusion carries some risks. If standards are poor or inconsistent, transfusion may be extremely risky. Every hospital should have standard operating procedures for each stage of the clinical transfusion process. So it is vital that healthcare professional especially nurses must be aware regarding the blood transfusion.
